These are the languages that I invented by myself for the Valiant Series. Each one is included in the books at some point or another. Enjoy!

Yes when translating to English, the words are a little out of order. That usually happens when you translate from other languages on earth too (just a random fact) because each language is unique and has its own structure. I'm not an expert or anything; I've just used my knowledge in my Spanish and German classes and how I'm currently trying to teach myself Japanese, but this is the language that I've built for the Nassyrian culture (which is secretly one of the favorite cultures I've built - fun fact). Ultimately, though, I have God to think for how far this series has come!

Ahi'tsihs

Translation: Tongue from Breathers (Dragon shapeshifters)

Just so everyone knows this, I came up with this language when I first wrote Shifter, which was about eight years ago. Basically it's like a dead language to me now. At the time, I did not name the language, so I literally had to name the language when I don't remember its rules or way it goes. It took me a while to actually develop the name, once I remembered all the languages rules, quirks and everything. This is the most developed language I have ever done and it was the first one I made up. It's the one I have worked on the most, longest and one that is fully developed as a language. Another words, I could speak it or come up with translations for every days things (you would just have to give me awhile to figure it out). Here it is:

First off, Ahi'tsihs uses one words for whole sentences. Every single word is precious and has meaning. There are certain letters that is never used. It is difficult to translate from Ahi'tsihs to English (Dragon Shfiters call it the Common Tongue) which was why they usually sound so odd when they try speak English. Here are the words I developed for Shifter, with their pronouncations and translations. Remember that these are direct translations, but that doesn't mean that each English word directly lines up with the Ahi'tsihs word either and pay close attention to the pronouncations: they are extremely different from English.

This last one was added just a month ago (years and years after I first invented this language). My fiance and I were edited Shifter in preparation to publish it, and he wanted to add a peice of dialogue where Beroan's uncle called him a fool. SO i literally had to ressurrect a language that was dead to me. It took about fifteen minutes or so but I did it. So here's that word:

Aettillk

Translation: Tongue of the Wolf Ones (Wolf Shapeshifters)

Similiar to Ahi'tsihs, Aettillk uses single words for whole sentences. I didn't do much with this, since I had Ahi'tsihs in Shifter, I was mentally exhausted on the language front. So there are only a few words, but there are several rules.

1. Only vowels a, e, i and u are used, though u is rare.

2. A is always followed by e.

3. I is always followed by l, t or k

4. Only certain consenants have the right sound to start words with. Letters like K, T, A, R, and M are only used.

5. O and Y are never used.

6. Words are always - ALWAYS - 7 - 9 letters in length. Another words 3 to 5 syllabols.

Kilaettir - who goes there

[K-i-lah-ay-tir]

Taellik - I mean no harm

[Roo-kit-tay-eer]

Maeittk - And to you (you're welcome)

[May-it-eek]

Kaerruik - My apologies (I'm sorry)

[Kay-roo-eek]

Aellittk!

Gehhlere

Translation: City Language

This was my first try at inventing a language, but I literally didn't make any rules (at the time I wrote Experiment I had no idea how to do this). So all I did was invent new words for ones already in English and thought that was language building (sigh).

Ralcious Vah Eious

Translation: Language of Eious

This was my second attempt after Experiment to invent a language. I still didn't understand the concept that to build a language I would have to invent my own set of rules and words, so I made up words for English language again.

Syrith'il Nilvith'es

Translation: Winged Ones Tongue

This was Rayth's Language (not named until just now) which was way after I write Shifter and invented both the Dragon's language and the Wolf language. I went for a more dragon-sound (ironic, since the dragon language sounds Native American). The only words I really invented for this was the name of the Sacred Place, a few words for a flashback scene and then a poem. I didn't invent any rules or anything for the language, only what I needed to write the story because I didn't feel like it at the time (sadly; it's such a beautiful language with a lot of potential)
