With the war spreading across the galaxy in Valiant Part Two, I had to map out my galaxy. Which means I was going to have to build the first fantasy galaxy ever and figure out a fantasy way to get from planet to planet. Unlike Star Wars, we can't just fly in starships because it's a FANTASY series. Before I even started writing Valiant Part One, my fiance gave me "homework." I had to build forty worlds in two weeks, each one different from the last. Once I got started world building, I realized I loved it, and I ended up with more then forty (plus the Chosen's home worlds added in to the mix). But building the worlds was just the start. To give me a better visual to help me figure out where the war was and thus where my characters all were, he had a genius idea. Using a posterboard and post-it notes, we made a visual MAP of my galaxy. Fun fact: it's so huge that it covers the back of my door.
